Susan is a nurse. She works in a hospital: The Mercy Falls. This hospital is being evacuated but there are still 8 children. Her last night there, Maggie tells her that the Mechanical girl is angry and coming. When they go to the children’s room, Maggie’s really scared. Something breaks the leg of a boy there. Susan and Dr. Robert visit him and they take radiography of his leg. First, there was only one fracture, but then, they can see two fract
ures. They don’t know how it happened.
Amy starts working there because Susan has left the hospital. When she arrives she meets a little girl, Maggie, who’s playing with blocks. She tells to Amy that she’s talking with her, the Mechanical girl. Amy asks to Helen who’s she, but Helen doesn’t care about that, because she thinks that is Maggie’s imagination.
Maggie tells to Amy that she lives in the second floor, deactivated years ago. Maggie can’t sleep and Amy says that when she was little, she had a blanket too, and she called it Mr Sleepy. Finally Maggie can sleep. The same night, Amy goes to their classroom and sees that in the blocks, someone has written: M I N E.
Amy thinks that Maggie is right; there must be something living there. She wants to visit Susan, because she thinks that Susan left the hospital because of that, but she’s dead. Susan’s friends, have said to Amy that if someone can see Charlotte is because they are near of death; they also tells her that spirits stay near of something or someone that they have loved. Every day Amy gets more scared. She tries the other doctors to believe her, but it’s impossible.
Finally she decides to go upstairs. She finds a photo of a girl in a wheelchair and her nurse. She meets the Mechanical girl and she’ll tell it to Dr. Robert and Maggie goes to safe her. She leaves her blanket there. Dr. Robert believes it and they find some information about her. They find out that the Mechanical girl was the nurse. She was called Charlotte and she killed the little and she suffocated her. She hammered her legs surgical appliance and she died. Since then, she had lived in the second floor. They find out that Charlotte has really loved children and that she needs them near her.
While they are evacuating another boy, Charlotte gets really angry. Amy and Dr. Robert say that the children must stay there, but the police and firemen want to evacuate them.
Maggie’s upstairs because she wants her Mr. Sleepy. Amy is going mad and she thinks that they will dead, because they both have seen the Mechanical girl. Finally she finds Maggie, who tells her that Charlotte won’t leave her go. In the end, Maggie dies, the children are evacuated and Amy is in the hospital. We can see Maggie near of Amy, because she has really loved her.
